Online Service Accounts


Many services provided by KU Information Technology (IT) require an account (username and password) to use the service. Information Technology offers accounts for faculty, staff, enrolled students & approved affiliates to use the following online services:
Exchange Email Account *

  • What is it? A KU email account includes email, calendaring, task management, & shared folders. You can access this account online through Outlook Web Access (owa.ku.edu) or the Kyou portal (students.ku.edu). More info...
  • How much does it cost? It's FREE!

*If you do not want a KU email account you may register an email address you already use (such as a Yahoo, AOL, or Hotmail account outside KU, etc.). You must register an email account with KU to receive official communications from the university.

Personal Web site & File Storage Space

  • What is it? You can get 50MB of space to create a personal web site, or to use for file transfer & storage.
  • How much does it cost? It's FREE!

If you live in on-campus housing (residence or scholarship halls) you should register for a KU Network Connection from KU ResNet
